Jalan bani Bu Hassan: The Tahayem Winter Season opened on 25 January in the Wilayat of Jalan bani Bu Hassan of South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, under the patronage of Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in the presence of the Governor of South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
The minister stressed the significance of the event in showcasing the economic movement and potentials in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, thanks to the activities of the Tahayem Winter Season’ which fit all sectors of the society, which makes it a qualitative addition for tourism activities in all wilayats of South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, which culminated in the selection of Sur as Capital for the Arab Tourism for the year 2024.
He said that the Tahayem Winter Season comes within the framework of boosting the role of the various economic sectors in the support of diversification and achievement of sustainability in the governorates and holding the activities and events attractive to visitors.
The minister expressed his delight over the efficient participation of the ministry in the Tahayem Winter Season through the international exhibition for dates and honey.
The opening ceremony started with a tour in the various sections and corners of the Tahayem Winter Season and the opening of the international exhibition for dates and honey, which saw the participation of 180 companies operating in the field of production of dates and honey and international and local packing companies followed by a tour in the innovation corner, the children corner and the games area.
Mohammed bin Ali bin A’kaak, Wali of Jalan bani Bu Hassan and chairman of the organising committee of Tahayem Winter Season said that the main objective for organising the event is to showcase the tourism potentials and environment diversity in Jalan bani Bu Hassan, tourism promotion and attraction of investments.
